I enjoyed being on Code Blue Radio with Dr. Jafri, Gastroenterologist, in the Clear Lake area. We discussed reasons why it is helpful to partner with an Aging Life Care Specialist, how to locate an aging life care specialist on the Aging Life Care Association website by zip code and how to reach out to me if you live in the Southeast side of Houston. I would love to speak to any group about aging life care specialists and can be available for a presentation to your group or organization.
I also recently interviewed with the Galveston Daily news and the article will come out during the Thanksgiving holiday. It is important to note that when you visit your parents during the holiday it is a good time to note changes such as mail piling up, unpaid bills, spoiled food in the fridge, or items stored in strange places. I also recommend spending some time having conversations about long term planing and knowing where important documents are located.
